Last summer, Everpress approached Sebastian about designing a t-shirt to raise some money for queer causes. He remembered these two characters he’d dreamed up as a kid…

Their names were Dylan & Derek.
They were dinosaurs, they were gay (obviously), they were orange, and they were in love – in a time before humans invented homophobia.
With the help of the talented artist Kieran Blakey, they came to life.
What happened next was totally unexpected…
Suddenly, Dylan & Derek were at prides all over the world.
They were animations, nail art, sculptures, and even tattoos.
They were baked on biscuits and painted on phone cases.
You all took a little thing – an old memory – and turned it into a joyful, inclusive, and meaningful community.
We were really moved, so we started dreaming about ways it could grow. Many late night FaceTimes + unrelated memes later, we decided to launch
Because of your incredible passion, the campaign ended up raising just under £200,000 for organisations helping LGBTQIA+ refugees and displaced people.
It will be an ongoing project celebrating queerness throughout history, while working to build better futures for LGBTQIA+ people fleeing conflict and persecution.
